Modular 1+1+2+2+1+1 Steerable Dolly

Low loading height

The through axle design on the front axle group has the lowest possible loading height. The limiting factor in this design is the tire diameter. This arrangement is ideal for hauling high tanks or beams. The mid-section comes with a power tower inside the turntable. This tower is used to lift the load above obstacles or to avoid a collision in rough terrain between the dolly’s frame and the beam. The on-board power pack supplies the hydraulic pressure necessary to lift the power tower and deploy the gooseneck stinger.

Universal design

The dolly can shed or add axles to suit the load. Up to 4 pin-on axles can be added to the dolly. The 4+4 configuration is intended for thaw periods and does not allow for full loading on all 8 axle groups. The pin-on axles must be added in pairs to have the same number of axles on the front and back group. The front pin-ons are through axle design for minimum frame height. The rear pin-ons are steerable and connect to the previous axle’s mechanism. The modularity and ultra low loading height increases the tare weight of the unit.
